JAY-Z WARNS THE GAME ABOUT TAUNTS, "I COULD WAKE UP TOMORROW & JUST REALLY GO RIGHT IN"

Jay-Z has addressed The Game's recent taunts and disses towards him and said while he is giving the rapper a temporary pass, things could easily change on a case-by-case basis.

Speaking with radio personality Big Boy, Jay attempted to explain why The Game has been reacting negatively towards him despite not being dissed.
"I think he's been posturing for this thing for a while," Jay explained. "I guess he just took the fact that I said I'm not talking about him which is not a diss at all. I figured that was his opportunity, he's going on tour and he's promoting, or buzz or marketing or however people feel they need attention these days. So it's no real problems behind it, it's no real challenge behind it. With the Nas thing, that was a real thing, it wasn't done because of any marketing or anything like that. I typically let those types of things slide but you know, I could wake up tomorrow and just really go right in."

RUMOR: LIL WAYNE MAY NOT BE THE FATHER TO ACTRESS LAUREN LONDON'S CHILD

We just learned that rapper Lil Wayne may already have some baby mama’s drama on his hands.

By now you’ve probably heard by now, Lil Wayne is expecting two children this fall from two women - R&B singer Nivea and actress Lauren London.

Well now it’s not so clear. We just learned that people close to Lil Wayne are questioning whether one of the children – the one being carried by Lauren London - is in fact Wayne’s.

And there’s more, our insider claims that people close to Wayne – including his ex-wife Toya and his soon-to-be baby’s mother Nivea are suspicious of the child’s paternity - And they’re begging the platinum selling rapper to get a DNA test as soon as the child’s born

Why are they so concerned? Well word on the street is that Nivea and Lauren are both EXACTLY 8 months pregnant. And Nivea was supposedly spending a ton of time with Weezy around the time she conceived.

So far though, we’re told that Lil Wayne is refusing to take the test. The insider claims, “He thinks he’s sure so he doesn’t want to take the test.”

Earliest Tupac Recordings Surface In Upcoming Album

Thirteen years after his death, Tupac Shakur’s first Hip-Hop recordings will now become available through a forthcoming album entitled Shakurspeare.

The project is the brainchild of Darrin Keith Bastfield, CEO of Born Busy Records. Bastfield was one of Shakur’s early collaborators, and the two formed a group together called Born Busy when a 16-year old Tupac first began to rap.

For long-time fans, the album will offer the first glimpses of Tupac’s Hip-Hop journey, back when he was known by his first rap name of MC New York.

"I was there when Tupac heard himself for the first time rapping on a recording. As he sat in the cafeteria of the Baltimore School for the Arts it was as if he couldn’t believe that he was listening to himself,” Bastfield told AllHipHop.com. “Just as Tupac was quietly amazed by hearing himself, I want people to hear Tupac as a young artist in his very first recordings ever having fun, rapping about issues that concerned us, and most importantly giving a cautionary and timely ‘Message of Peace’ in his own voice as if he was already a big rap star with a reputation to uphold.”

The title Shakurspeare is an allusion to a conversation between Bastfield and a 17 year-old Shakur, where the aspiring emcee revealed that he dreamed of becoming as renowned Shakespearean actor.

The LP cover will illuminate this motif by having a Bastfield oil painting depicting Shakur as Shakespeare.

"This project was a very spiritual undertaking for me, but most importantly it is about creating art and being educational. The vocals to the songs we wrote were all recorded accapella in 1988 on a cassette tape,” Bastfield explained. “Through technology the vocals were able be extracted, digitally mastered, and put to contemporary music that was produced in 2008. I wanted to keep the recordings as close to the vein of our ideas from back in the day. As far as new material to assist with the concept of the album as being like an audio documentary, I chose to work with producers and artists in my own backyard which are native of Baltimore, Maryland which includes International Jazz recording artist Maysa. My life and times with Tupac Shakur all happened in Baltimore, so I wanted the spirit of the Shakurspeare album, just as the book, to stay consistent.”

The new album will mark Bastifield’s second Tupac Shakur project. In 2002, he released the book Back in the Day: My Life and Times with Tupac Shakur through One World/Ballantine.

At press time, Shakurspeare will be released digitally on September 13 through Born Busy Records.

Jay-Z: 'Time For Me to Lay My Blueprint on a Generation'

“I always wanted to finish the series because the first In My Lifetime series…you know I had three of those so I wanted to do three Blueprints,” Jay-Z said. “I didn’t really have a direction and I didn’t want to just do it for the sake of just naming an album Blueprint. So as time passed, I finally got direction and it made sense to bring the trilogy to its end, you know.”

The pending release of The Blueprint 3 comes years after the arrival of 2001’s The Blueprint and it’s 2002 follow-up The Blueprint 2: The Gift and the Curse.

Both albums included a string of classic singles such as “Takeover,” “You Don’t Know,” “ Izzo (H.O.V.A.),” “Song Cry,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “’03 Bonnie and Clyde” and “Excuse Me Miss.”

“[On] this one, we’re pretty much becoming the icons that we looked up to. All the Sinatra’s and the Marvin Gaye’s and all those people that we looked up to. So I felt it was time for us to lay our blueprint or for me to lay my blueprint on a generation. Especially now with the way sales are going down and everything and how people being forced to make one type of music because they trying to get on the radio."

Jay-Z also confessed to anticipating the reaction given to the album’s first single “D.O.A. (Death of Autotune).”

Since it’s release, the tune has generated reaction from fans and artists concerning the use of the autotune device in many of today’s current hits.

“It’s not like I hate autotune,” Jay-Z admitted. “ I mean I like records, some records with autotune. I just don’t wanna hear 1,000 records with autotune. It’s just too much.”

Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3 is slated to hit stores on September 11.

Nas Ordered To Pay $40k in Support for Kelis and Child

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Louis Meisinger also ruled that Nas will have to pay Kelis’ $45,000 lawyer and forensic accountant fees.

Nas’ lawyer Mark Kaplan requested that Kelis be paid a $20,000 payment until the September hearing, but Judge Meisinger argued that the singer was entitled to maintain her marriage lifestyle, and that the monetary judgment was commensurate with the two parties’ income filings.

In addition, Kelis will have 30 days to decide whether to return to the couple’s Los Angeles property, which Nas is paying for.

Kelis’ high-powered divorce attorney Laura Wasser defended the ruling, stating that Kelis’ income has significantly dropped this year.

She also confirmed that her client is searching for a new label home.

Originally, Kelis reportedly was seeking $80,000 a month in total spousal and child support.

According to court records, Nas' monthly contributions will be $30,471 to Kelis in temporary spousal support, and $9,027 to his newborn son Knight.

Nas was last seen on Tuesday night celebrating the birth of the couple’s son at an all-star Queensbridge concert.

At press time, neither Nas or Kelis could be reached for comment.

Hip-Hop star Nas is currently celebrating the birth of his son, although sources close to the rapper told AllHipHop.com that he was not allowed to witness the event.

Nas' lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan stated that Nas rushed to the hospital to witness Kelis deliver his first son today (July 21).

A source close to Nas told AllHipHop.com that the Queen's rapper missed the actual child birth.

“Nas is in New York City today, anxiously awaiting the arrival of his son. It was his intention to be there for the birth, but unfortunately he has not been allowed to be present,” a source close to the rapper told AllHipHop.com. “While this is clearly heartbreaking to him, Nas continues to offer his support and love to his new baby boy and his mother.”

Nas and Kelis were due in court today in regards to their pending divorce, specifically child and spousal support.

The date had to be postponed when Kelis, born Kelis Rogers , went into labor, around 10:30 this morning.

Kelis filed for divorce in April of 2009, citing irreconcilable differences.

BET Bans Willy Northpole's "No. 1 Side Chick" Video, "'Every Girl' Can Get Played & We Can't?"

Ludacris protege Willy Northpole has reportedly had his new "#1 Side Chick" video banned from BET due to the controversial sexual subject matter.

The rapper's manager, Tiffany Johnson, has confirmed BET's decision and questioned why videos like Drake's "Best I Ever Had" were able to be aired on the network.

Johnson says BET didn't like how the video portrays a man in a relationship with two women. Johnson says there's no anger in Northpole's camp toward BET, but the channel's decision "Kind of hurt, because they've shown a lot worse," she says. "I don't know how they can say we're portraying something unwholesome, because the video ends with the man marrying one of the women. I feel our video is tasteful. We were kind of offended. My first thought was 'Every Girl in the World' can get played, and we can't?".

Remy Ma's Lawyer Avoids Jail Over Tax Violations

The lawyer who represented imprisoned rapper Remy Ma avoided prison time after he pleaded guilty to federal tax violations. Ivan Fisher, 65, defended Remy Ma during her 2008 trial for shooting a friend in the stomach outside of a Manhattan nightclub, during an argument over missing money.
Fisher pleaded guilty to failing to pay $52,000 in withholding taxes on his employee’s wages. By pleading guilty to a tax code violation, Fisher avoided a year in prison. He must pay $68,000 in back taxes, as well as a $10,000 criminal fine.
In March of 2008, Fisher’s client Remy Ma was convicted and sentenced to eight years

Joe Jackson Believes "Foul Play" Killed Michael

Joe Jackson, Michael Jackson's father, said that he felt that his son’s death might be the result of “foul play.”

"I just couldn't believe what was happening to Michael. I do believe it was foul play. I do believe that. Yes,” Jackson told ABC News.

A second autopsy on the “King of Pop” has yet to offer any conclusive answers.

Toxicology results have yet to come in, and The L.A. County coroner's office will wait for them before formally listing Michael Jackson’s cause of death. The LAPD is looking specifically at the role prescription drugs may have played in the singer’s death, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Various types of prescription drugs were reportedly recovered from Jackson's home by the detectives, including an anesthetic that's normally used during most surgical procedures. Furthermore, many of MiJac's physicians were contacted for their records, but it's still unclear whether any criminal charges will be filed until the final autopsy reports are revealed.

Joe Jackson has also expressed to ABC News that he has an interest having a "direct role in raising" Michael's three children.

LL COOL J RE-THINKS ALBUM RETIREMENT, "I'M NOT RUNNING AROUND LOOKING FOR A RECORD DEAL"

Hip-Hop mogul LL Cool J recently spoke on what music plans he has since releasing his final contractual Def Jam album last year and why he may return to the studio for another solo release in the future.

Appearing on "The View," LL explained how he still attains the fulfillment of releasing an album by touring and other ventures.
"Two things, first of all, making albums is a way of expressing my creativity," LL explained. "So I can express my creativity through business. I can express my creativity through my clothing line. I can express my creativity through the different ventures I have. I still wanna do live music and I still do live concerts so people will see me on tour. I'm just not running around looking for a record deal like 'Please listen to my demo.' [laughs] Like right now, that's not what I want to do right now."

NAS PROMISES "UNTITLED" FOLLOW-UP, "MY SH*T RIGHT NOW IS AGE-APPROPRIATE"

Nas has announced plans to release his tenth solo album and hinted at what fans could expect from its overall sound and content.

While keeping details to a minimum, the Queens, New York-bred emcee said the follow-up to 2008's Untitled would cater to what he observes.
"It's funny, drama is something that definitely kicks a fire underneath artists," he said in an interview. "But I try not to make that my focus. I'm trying to have peace and love. My sh*t right now is age-appropriate for myself. I love everything, most of the things that are going on musically. But my music will talk about what I see, how I see it, and it should be interesting. My last things were about what I felt about hip-hop and what I felt about race matters. This new thing will be a natural thing. I have a few things that I feel like doing, but who knows what it will be."

John Forte Marks Arrest Anniversary With New Album

Singer/songwriter and producer John Forte has chosen to commemorate the anniversary of his July 2000 arrest with the release of his first collection of new music to be released in nearly eight years.

Forte’s StyleFREE the EP will be available for purchase and streaming exclusively on JohnForte.com on July 14, exactly nine years after he was arrested on drug possession and conspiracy charges.

A physical and wide digital release of the project is set to follow in late August. The Grammy-nominated artist first emerged on the entertainment scene as a member of the Refugees Crew, producing, co-writing and appearing on The Fugees’ multi-platinum sophomore album The Score.

Following the album’s success, Forte landed a solo deal at Columbia Records, releasing his debut PolySci in 1998.

Unfortunately, due to lackluster promotional efforts, the album, which was critically well received, sold a meager 79,000 copies, leading Columbia to drop Forte from their roster.

According to an August 2002 Rolling Stone article, the artist had apparently developed a lavish lifestyle which he became unable to sustain, leading to his surprising foray into the drug trade.

While performing at a weekly DJ gig in Manhattan in 2000, Forte met 35-year-old drug dealer Chris Thompson, who he allegedly assisted by recruiting and overseeing drug couriers.

On July 12, Drug Enforcement Administration Agents arrested two young women in Harlingen, TX after discovering $1.4 million worth of liquid cocaine in their suitcases.

Two days later, DEA agents arrested Forte in New York after he took possession of the suitcases.

He has maintained that he was under the impression that he was helping Thompson transport money and not drugs.

While on a supervised release between his 2000 arrest and the beginning of his fourteen year sentence in 2002, Forte recorded I, John, which featured appearances by Herbie Hancock, Esthero, Tricky and Carly Simon, a close friend of Forte’s who even put up $250,000 of his $650,000 bond.

It was in part because of lobbying efforts by Simon and her son Ben Taylor that John Forte obtained a pardon from former President Bush in late 2008.

Since his release, John Forte has taken no time to jump back into the Hip-Hop scene, quickly adapting to the technological advances he missed while incarcerated to make his music available to new and old fans alike.

Almost immediately after coming home, he released three singles online, including the Talib Kweli-assisted “Homecoming.” Forte’s also embarked on a life of activism and teaching, joining the Harlem-based In Arms Reach initiative, which supports children of incarcerated parents.

StyleFREE the EP captures all of the varied experiences Forte has undergone in the last few years.

The title track is a throwback to Forte’s Brownsville, Brooklyn upbringing; while ballads like “More Beautiful Now” and “There We are” are more introspective.

The EP’s first single “Play My Cards For Me” is currently available at JohnForte.com for free download.

John Forte is also currently working on his memoirs, which will be published by Simon & Schuster upon completion.

Palin resigns as governor, leaves plans secret

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin abruptly announced Friday she is resigning from office at the end of the month, a shocking move that rattled the Republican party but left open the possibility she would seek a run for the White House in 2012.

Palin, 45, and her staff kept her future plans shrouded in mystery, and it was unclear if the controversial hockey mom would quietly return to private life or begin laying the foundation for a presidential bid.

Palin's spokesman, David Murrow, said the governor didn't say anything to him about this being her "political finale." He said he interpreted Palin's comment about working outside government as reflecting her current job only.

"She's looking forward to serving the public outside the governor's chair," he said.

Artest goes to Lakers

Free-agent forward Ron Artest says he's leaving the Houston Rockets to join the Los Angeles Lakers, according to an ESPN.com report.

In a text message Thursday night, Artest wrote: "I am happy to say I am goin' to L.A."

The report states Artest and the Lakers have reached a verbal agreement on a three-year contract worth an estimated $18 million. Wednesday is the first day free agents are permitted to sign new deals.

Artest's decision was earlier rumored on CBSSports.com.

The mercurial swingman was initially courted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his text message, Artest said that he met Thursday with Lakers owner Jerry Buss and had spoken to coach Phil Jackson about the move to Los Angeles, where Artest has been spending his offseasons.

Artest's forthcoming arrival strongly suggests that unrestricted free agent Trevor Ariza — who played such a pivotal run in the Lakers' championship run — is bound to leave the team. Broussard reported Wednesday that, according to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, Ariza was likely to leave the Lakers for a new team because L.A. was reluctant to sign him to a contract starting above the league's $5.6 million mid-level exception, even after Ariza's postseason success.

Ariza has been courted by numerous teams, including Cleveland, and met Thursday in Las Vegas with Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey to possibly swap spots with Artest.

NEW MICHAEL JACKSON AUTOPSY REPORTS THAT FOUL PLAY CAN NOT BE RULED OUT ... MICHAEL MAY HAVE BEEN MURDERED!!!

The initial findings of the Jackson's family autopsy are in - and MediaTakeOut.com got an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at the findings.

We spoke with a close family friend to the Jackson's who claim that the initial findings of the INDEPENDENT autopsy are out - and the INDEPENDENT pathologists ARE NOT ABLE rule out foul play as the cause of death.

You'll recall that the Los Angeles coroner's claim (which was released before doing a toxicology examination - which is HIGHLY irregular) that foul play was "not likely" the cause of death.

And there's more. MediaTakeOut.com's insider claims that, while they're still waiting for results from the INDEPENDENT toxicology exam, so far it looks like foul play WAS IN FACT involved. Tells the insider, "We were told that it looks like it could be foul play - and that the toxicology results will come in next week. And that depending on how they come back, Michael was either MURDERED or someone did something to him."

The official Los Angeles coroner's toxicology reports are not expected to be out for another month.

Joe Budden Challenges Lloyd Banks W/ Collabo, "I'd Have To See If I Could Tear Him Up"

Joe Budden recently spoke on G-Unit's Lloyd Banks and how he would want the opportunity to record with the rapper and go bar-for-bar with "The Punchline King."

Despite having a rap beef with the Unit in recent years, Budden said he was open to a collaboration with the emcee.

"I wanna do a song with Lloyd Banks," Budden revealed in a live blog chat on Friday (July 3) afternoon alongside his friend/producer Dough Boy. "I gotta get him, pause. Yeah, that's what I want. I think he's ducking me. I think Banks was dope and then he fell the f*ck off and then he got right back up. So personally, for me, I would want to do a song with him. Nah, he don't got no personality. I'd have to see if I could tear him up [on a record]."

Ginuwine Confesses Suicidal Thoughts and Positive Turn Towards SPRUCE Program

You’ve got fame, hit songs and fans that stand by you. With all of that, what could possibly make life not worth living? Ask Ginuwine and the answer is found in the death of his parents in 1999 and 2000.

The reality of the situation hit hard as Ginuwine admitted that he “really didn't want to be here anymore” after his father shot himself to death and his mother lost her battle with cancer. As a result, the crooner had no desire to live as he revealed that he tried to commit suicide on more than one occasion.

“There was no one around that I really loved at the time, so I turned to the drinking and drugs like weed and ecstasy,” Ginuwine confessed to Essence.com. “I was done mentally and emotionally to the point that I had to go see a psychiatrist, but that didn't do any good because I wasn't interested. In fact, the two times I visited him I was high. I was depressed and felt like I had nobody to talk to that could relate to me.”

Fortunately, Ginuwine got through the rough period after receiving counseling from his pastor at church. As a result, the singer said he was able to “turn away from all those things that were destroying me and finally think clearly” as he can attest to being clean “for about seven years.”

Nowadays, you can find Ginuwine working his wife Solé to help the mentally disabled.

“My wife and I own mentally disabled homes in Kansas City where the mentally disabled board through a program called SPRUCE (Special People Requiring Unique Care Equally),” he said. “Many people don't realize that once they turn 18 they are often thrown out the house and are homeless. At the home, they are able to learn the fundamentals of life, like finding a job, how to take care of themselves, clean their rooms, and other things. My heart always likes to give, and if I'm going to help somebody it might as well be someone who can't help themselves.”

Michael Jackson Memorial Set; Custody Battle Breaks Out

A memorial service for Michael Jackson has officially been confirmed and will take place this Tuesday (July 7) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where Jackson rehearsed for an upcoming tour.

Organizers are giving away 17,500 tickets to fans lottery style, who must register at StaplesCenter.com.

Of those 17,500, only 11,000 will be able to actually go inside of the Staples Center.

The other 6,500 will watch the event from a simulcast being broadcast at neighboring Nokia Theater.

"If you do not have a ticket, if you are not credentialed, not only will you not be allowed at these venues, you will not be allowed in this area," Los Angeles Police Department assistant chief Earl Paysinger said. "Watch it on TV."

In related news, California State Attorney General Jerry Brown has officially launched an investigation into Jackson’s prescription drug use and how he received powerful anesthetic drugs like Diprivin (also known as Propofol).

The drug was found in Jackson’s house and is suspected of being the substance the caused the 50-year-old pop superstar to go into cardiac arrest.

A custody battle has also broken out over Michael Jackson’s three children. Debbie Rowe, who birthed Jackson’s two children Michael, 12 and Paris, 11, has confirmed that she will seek custody of the children, who have been in the care of Jackson’s mother Catherine since Jackson’s death last week.

Rowe will also reportedly seek custody for Prince Michael II aka Blanket, although she is not the child’s biological mother.
